First off, I have a Via KT133 motherboard with integrated ProSavage 4 video chip. Machine is Duron 800/256mb, live!.

And this combination doesnt really give any speed. As you may know, the chipset above doesnt like to accept several 3D cards, in fact, if Im right only a Kyro would fit. Im getting a Hercules Kyro II 4500 64mb, which should suit with that motherboard, but I have no knowledge of if can I just plug it in and expect that Savage would turn itself off and there wouldnt be any problems. Is there something I should do before plugging it in?

Or does it work at all..?

I used to have an Abit KT7? I think it was with this chipset and ran several differant cards in it.
Geforce 2 MX 32mb, Geforce 2 GTS 32mb, radeon DDR 32mb, TNT2 M64pro, Matrox G100 and probably some I have forgotten about.
Where did you get your information from? I don't think it's right.
Just go into bios and disable onboard VGA, then fit the card and reboot etc Martin Please let members know if there advice has helped any.

Well, this shouldnt have anything to do with Abit cards, I´ve heard that they are well compatible. My motherboard´s manufacturer is actually HIS, but neverthless, I read from Via Arena forums that the board only accepts Kyro cards.

But if I would get the chance to try those cards... why not..

Halt! =) If you say so, I need to check if the card is actually KM113. But that aint doable right now.

Thanks anyway.
