I am trying to build a site which really has to be compatible with ALL browsers....

Usually this means NS and IE (and my own browser - Opera), but i specifically have to test for AOL.

The snag is that i cant seem to be able to get an AOL browser to test with and I am certainly not signing up for anything to get it.

Is there such things as AOL test platforms?
Or has anyone any tips for this?

Thanks

JEz

Nope! But, AOL usually offers a "free trial" period that you can take advantage of. I did this last year when I was having problems with AOL users see my clients web site.

There's always a better way. The fun is trying to find it!

The link you gave there for netmachanic, although probably too much $$ for me alone, i might bear it in mind next time work need something like that... hmmm

As I understand it, AOL uses a comination of IE and NS for it's browser. But, it adds so many proprietary bells and whistles that it's really a completely different browser. On top of all this, AOL is very big on playing "Big Brother" and goes way out of it's way to protect you from all the nasty things lurking out there in cyberspace. And it particularly doesn't like you to send it's subscribers email that contains HTML code.

There's always a better way. The fun is trying to find it!
