Hi all:

We have a website that we created using SharePoint portal and SQL 2000 as a back end database. We recently installed SSL on the site and the website is running on port 443. The site works except for one annoying matter. Everytime when users switch from one page to another, it brings up a Security Information dialog box with the following message "This page contains both secure and non secure imtes. Do you want to display the nonsecure items?" Do you guys have any idea where the non secure page is coming from and how I can disable it or make it secure.

Thanks.

Hello,

Are you using a pageviewer webpart or any other content that comes from a non-secure (non https website)?

I had a similar problem when I had a pageviwer webpart that displayed content over http (non-secure) from another webserver on our network.

Regards,
Thomas

Thanks Thomas for replying but the problem was related to the use of IP address. I remember reading a while back that IP-bound virtual servers are not supported in SharePoint Portal Server 2003, so when I changed the value of the IP address on IIS to "All Unassigned", that seem to fix the problem. Strange but don't know why Sharepoint portal doesn't support IP bound virtual servers.
