a little frustrated... what is the latest?

It seems everyday I go to a forum or SEO today - something related to SEO. What I think is the current SEO practice isnt... this is daily mind you ! Am I looking at an old site? old info? What is the latest and greatest? meta keyords dont matter, then its page rank isn't true to your true page rank - forget the little green PR bar it doesn't matter!! I am getting frustrated with it all... my site hasn't moved from the top 3 SEs in 3 months - we are not a new site either( pages 6,7,8 10 13 ) for the keywords I optimized for - where is THE latest info on what I can do?

The best way is to find one forum that matches your ethos on SEO and stick to it. Forget about the others.
