I just thought those who are using (trying to?) Microsoft cluster 2000 and Exchange 2000 cluster would like to be informed of Microsofts stance on using it in active\active mode. This is part of an official email they sent my company in response to several technical issues we have had.

"One final issue that we see is memory fragmentation in the virtual machines. During the normal process of running the database in a Virtual machine the memory becomes fragmented on both Virtual machines. Because of this fragmentation an active node is unable to reliably take over the Exchange 2000 workload from another active node.

Future development focus has been shifted from Active/Active to Active/Passive."

Interesting isn't it? Got to love Microsoft
