A highly technical question

Hello,

Here is a highly technical question:

I live in Europe but since I have many contacts in Japan, I would like to send and receive emails in Japanese with my mobile from Europe. I had a thought about it and here is what I've decided to try theorically at least: buy two mobiles of the same model, one from Europe and one from Japan, and then put the parts that are used to connect to the local network into the japanese one.
Thus, I get a mobile with a Japanese keyboard, a Japanese OS but that can be used out of Japan.

Question 1: Is it feasible?
Question 2: Are those parts independant from eachother? I mean: easily swapable.

Why can't you just write in Romaji it'd save a lot of time and effort and is what most Japanese people do in the UK

I've just seen the date of your post lol, I guess this forum is about as popular as the WAP forum used to be.

Yeah .... a really old post

Since I suck at "building things", I've purchased this :

The OS is WinXP in Japanese so I can use it with my moblie via BlueTooth. It's not as small as a mere mobile but you can type faster

BTW, using romajis doesn't help because most of the people forget to use a western encoding when they send their email.
Then the mobile thinks it's foreign characters which makes the content unreadable.
