I am currently looking to upgrade our network antivirus software and would like to hear from other network admins and their opinions of different solutions. Right now we are running an older version of Trend Micro's OfficeScan Corporate Edition. During my search on the web I have found it very difficult to find any reviews or advice on antivirus programs for small businesses. We only need 20 nodes with both workstation and server support but this seems to be a negelected market segment. I have found that most of the information on the internet on antivirus solutions is geared toward the home user or the Enterprise environment. Any advice, suggestions or other information would be greatly appreciated!

IMHO, you can't go wrong with Sophos. We've been using Sophos for a number of years and have had great success with it. Their support is great and they get their virus identites (IDEs) out as fast as possible.

I am the admin of a small network as well. About 35 workstations. I'm using eTrust 7.0 from Computer Associates. Everything is automated from the virus definition downloads and distribution to the workstation policy settings. I am very happy with it. Reasonably priced as well.

We use Sophos as well and I've never run into any problems with it.

Hope This Helps!
