Has anyone used this software? I found a copy of this in a box when I bought a used NAM 4.1.

Can this be installed and used on only one NAM or can this SW be loaded on any unit I want. IS it key code protected?

What is your experience with this SW etc. how easy is it to use, customer satisfaction limitations etc.

Thank you

Installing minuet

It is assumed that the Norstar Applications Module has already been connected to the Norstar KSU, Station Sets have been connected, and the Voice Mail application has been installed. If you are performing an Update, make sure all Agents are logged out.
This MINUET installation or update is performed entirely from the M7310 or M7324 Station Set. Follow these steps:

1.The Norstar Applications Module can be in Presentation Manager or Non-Presentation Manager mode.
2.Open up the application Module's cover and insert the Install/Update Disk in the disk drive.
3.On the M7310 or M7324 Staion Set, press the Feature button. On the keypad, type in 915 for the feature code. The Administration Program Password screen will display.
4.Type in the Password for your Applicaion Module's Administration Program Password (2223772). The next screen to display is the ACCESS Server.
5.Press the ADMIN softkey. The next screen to display is A: Prt queue mgr
6.Press the NEXT softkey to scroll through the applications until you display H. Appl Install.
7.Press the SHOW softkey. The next screen to display reminds you to Insert Floppy (which you completed in Step 2). Press the INSTL softkey. The following messages will display briefly:
One moment pls
The Date and time screen will briefly display.
ACD Installing (or)ACD Updating

8.If you are installing, the Install key: screen will display. If you are updating, the Update key: screen will display. Call Cintech (1-800-944-3901) to request your Install or Update Verification Key.

Note: You can call Cintech prior to the installation to receive your Verification Key. If you do, have ready your Applications Module's serial number, company name, address and installation contact.

Then type this key into the field. When completed, press the OK softkey. The next messages to display:

Copying ACD - % Complete
Copying Startup
The message will display to insert the remaining install/update disk(s)

The Install/Update complete message will briefly display and a tone will sound from the Station Set when MINUET is installed or updated.
The Date and time screen will display.

9.When the Install/Update is complete, remove the Install disk and close the cover. At this time you will need to specify a Backup Station Set DN. Follow the directions provided in the System Parameter chapter to specify the Backup staion Set DN.
When the Install/Update is complete and the Backup staion. Set has been specified, you must perform a Graceful Reboot. Make sure there is not a floppy disk in the disk drive.

Follow these steps:

1.On the M7310 or M7324 Staion Set, press the Feature button. On the keypad, type in 915 for the feature code.
The Administration Program Password screen will display.
2.Type in the password for you Application Module's Administraion Program Password (266344). The next screen to display is the ACCESS Server.
3.Press the NEXT softkey. The System shutdown System shutdown will display.
4.Press the NEXT softkey. The System reboot screen will display.
5.Press the SHOW softkey. The Reboot type screen will display.
6.Press the GRACE softkey (for graceful). The Reboot Graceful? Screen will display.
7.Press the YES softkey. The Rebooting...message will display. The Reboot may take several minutes, The Reboot type screen will then briefly display before you are returned to the Date and Time screen.

Note: Any time MINUET ACD is restarted, it will start up in Night Routing regardless of the time of day. Ref. to Chapter 10, Routing Session , to enable Routing.

Used it on a couple sites worked ok...think i would use HG if i had newer software

6 months until ski season starts...sadly i must resign myself to the warmer weather"this will include a normal 8-5 work day, 5 days a week"

I was thinking about using a HG instead of this SW for a group of people in the AP dept. my concern is that with a HG and 5 agents the call would just hunt around the office but not at some point have a voice mail box answer.

IS this possible if for example they are out to lunch or gone for the day. This is of course just using a HG set up and not Minuet.

Beware
Cinetch is out of business so I wouldnt even think of installing it for a customer since you will have zero support.
When they were in business it was 2K a year for support.

What would you suggest in regards to using a HUNT group for about 5 people in the payroll department. Is there any way for the call, if not answered, to be directed to a voice mail box after so many rings if not answered.

I know with Partner a call in a hunt group will just keep going round and round in a circle ringing until the caller hangs up.

2 ways I know of
1 make the overflow to the DN of the supervisor of payroll, will then go based on FNA at the point I think.

I usualy have them set up like this:
Create a mailbox that is the same DN of the HG
Overflow to the DN of the voice mail
Setup the mailbox Off Prem so it call Internal to the DN of the HG
Adjust your COS to you likiing.

When a message is left it will now call the HG every so often based on the COS setting so that anyone can retrive the message.
