We just opened an office and inheriated an Electra Elite 48 system with the building we are leasing. Basically, we have 4 lines coming in from the telco. The system was setup for 8 handsets on the first 8 pairs, and the next pairs were CO1 and CO2. I punched down the 3rd and 4th lines on the Next 2 pairs.

I'm pretty sure the CO Card in there supports 8 lines. The two lines punched down have their respective numbers programmed Memory Block 3-00 and 3-01 is set for OUT&IN on all 4 lines.

The two lines ring in, but it flashes red on either LK3 or LK4 (whichever line is dialed) and cannot be picked up. LK1-LK4 are set with the appropriate CO 1-4 in Telephone Phone Mode Memory Block 4-12 (i believe). Also you can not select lines 3 and 4 to pick up a line. And there is no rollover is lines 1 and 2 are busy. Lines 1 & 2 were setup previously and work fine.

I looked through the Menu's from the phone terminal for everything that looked pertinant to me, and it seemed that all settings for CO1 and C02 when compared to CO3 and CO4 were setup identical. I know i'm obviously missing something here. What might it be?

Thanks in advance.

Maybe DIT and ANA as far as not ringing in but not being able to select them has me stumped.
Press Feature then line 3 and tell us what it says on the display, and line 4 also.

Do Feature 4 and press line 3 or 4. It may say DIT/ANA as curlycord suggested. Check 4-01 for ring assignment.

Have you looked at the trunk restrictions for the phones? They may be set for restriction (No Access) if the previous owner had a seperate business in with them. Look at MB 4-19, if the lights are on, then turn em off..

If your lines 1 & 2 are busy and it doesn't roll over to 3 & 4 at all (key should at least flash on your phone) you might want to call your tel service provider (i.e. Bell) to add those 2 last lines in your rollover group (Line 1 being the pilot). Good Luck!!

I HAVE AN ELITE ELECTRA 48 WITH ONE CO-4 CCK CARD AND USING THE FIRST AMPHENOL TO CONNECT THE ONBOARD DIGITAL STATIONS TO A DTU-16D TELEPHONE ONTO THE 1ST PAIR DOES NOT GIVE POWER TO THE TELEPHONE. DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THIS SYSTEM HAS TO BE INITIALIZED OR DO I HAVE TO SET THE SWITCH SETTINGS. ALL SWITCHES ON THE BACKPLANE ARE SET TO THE DOWN OR OFF POSITION.
