Metaframe 1.8 on Win2K. All patches applied for Citrix and OS. When any client accesses the server, the A: drive is accessed and its quite annoying. Its remanisent of the old days when Win95 would do the same thing. I never had this problem when I had Metaframe on NT 4. This is a fresh install by the way, no upgrades, and no software was installed from a floppy. There are no published apps that access the CD-Rom or A: drives. Thanks for any help.

Sounds like u have Client drive access enabled for your users....??? Once a connection from the client to the server is made the client checks all "local" drives and assigns a "mapping" for them...

Thanks for the response Highland. Yes, client drive mapping are connected at logon and not disabled. Which needs to occur. I wish they had specific drives you could select/deselect. However, I have 7 other NT4 TS's and the settings are identical and this doesnt happen.....

If it is the client drive access I dont understand why its not happening on all servers....???? You're not running anything else at startup of the session....???

Theres various ways of hiding the drives....!!! The "easiest" one we use is hidedrives.adm policy file, this gives u a template within your policy to select which drives to hide......There are other ways of achieving the same effect though......!!!!
