Hi,

Running IIS 5.0 on XP Pro here for development.

Upon opening an existing project in vid 6.0, I am faced with this error message:

Cannot create a disk-based Web application in 'C:\Web_Proj\HBT\HBT_local'. The directory 'C:\Web_Proj\HBT\HBT_local' is the root content directory for a server based web. You must open it using the for the web server.

Can anyone offer help with this?

TIA,
monquatch

Yep, I got the same thing going on here. Iis has been playing up constantly recently, have not got a solution yet, Fix one thing and another thing breaks at the mo.....
still chasing it though.
Sorry for not being able to post a fix at the mo....

has anyone come up with a solution for this? getting the same error message and can't seem to make it go away. not even sure why it started as it was working and after setting up custom error pages in IIS on winxppro, started receiving this.
