Hello,
I have a database on a Shared LAN folder.
It has tables, queries, forms, reports, macros and modules - it is NOT split into back-end and front-end.
I found that a copy of the database is created by itself with suffix added to the database name periodically, ex. "MyDatabase_9e64510d-3bce-4d43-9db9-4baf7accc236.accdb"
Does anyone knows a reason it does that?

Thank you.

Do you have your database set to compact on close?
Is there a good reason to not split the database?

Hi Duane,
No, Compact on Close is not set.

Yes, there is a reason the database is not split.
We inherited many databases.
The manager is not ready to make changes now.
I hope we will do it in the future.
As of now, the database will not be split for some time.

Thank you.

Do all users have the ability to create and delete files in the folder containing the Access file?
