We are using Legato Networker 5.5.1 on WinNT 4.0 Sp6a.
I'd like to know two things:

1. Whenever I stop and start the Legato services, the entire
server reboots. Does anybody know what causes this?

2. It also seems that the Legato services need the system
account to start up. Is this correct? I'd rather use a
special service account for Legato.

1. There's something wrong with your server if it reboots when you stop and restart services.

2. I'm sure you could set up another account for the services, but you would be toying with a very fickle system. There's no guarantee that it would work.

1. You have a problem with the hardware in your server.

2. In all my experience (6yrs working on Networker) leave it alone. It will work best as it is. If you change it you could possibly see some strange problems with permissions when you try to run backups on some systems. If it aint broke don't fix it.
