A code to pick specifics out of a cell

Hello. With regard to excel, in cell A1 I have a description of a product(SPAN2002 GR 1 SPANISH MATHEMATICS CALIFORNIA PUPILS EDITION)

In cell A2 I would like to write a formula that would place the state inside cell A2. I've tried using the If function but can't seem to get it to work. Any suggestions?
