Hello,

I have a set of reports which call the same subreport. This is saved as a different report and depending on the parameter passed from any one of the main reports the result is displayed.

In each of the reports I have given the option to re-import the subreport whenever run.

The problem is like this -
Suppose I make any change in the subreport ....

If i open any report and double click the expanded view. In the Report->Edit Selection Formula->Record i am getting extra conditions for the subreport parameters.

Because of this I am having to open the report one by one again and delete the extra conditions.

This is one reason I am not real excited about the re-import feature. If you reimport a linked subreport, it will re-add the 'automatic' links (parameters and conditions). The problem comes in if you never USED the automatic links. Now you get yours AND the automatic ones.

I don't think this happens if you re-insert the subreport manually when it is changed, you simply have to do the links again each time. In other words, it can't re-link other than the automatic link on import. Ken Hamady, On-site/Phone Crystal Reports Training/Consulting
