Regardless of the font, when I save an eps and open it in Photoshop, the apostrophes and indents turn into squares (like the ones you get when the character doesn't exist in the font).
 
Make sure that the font you are using is active before you start up PhotoShop. Or you can convert your type ot curves in Illustrator and bring it in then and take the "FONTASROPHE" out of the equation.

Converting to curves is do-able. I'll try that. Don't understand the active font part. I open the eps in PS and it appears with the boxes.
 
Well when PS opens it loads all active fonts if you activate a font after PS is already open then that font will not be usable in PS. It also could be a font file problem, they typing what you want directly in PS with that font and see what happens.
