Hello,

I am considering taking the A+ cert. I want to focus on the Hardware portion first. Any books you can recommend?

I saw the following book on barnes & nobles, would any one recommend the following:

A+ Fast Pass
David Groth, Faithe Wempen

Mike Meyers' A+ Guide to PC Hardware
Michael Meyers, Scott Jernigan

Groth is good. The M. Myers All-in-One A+ Study Guide is pretty much the gold standard for A+. I would recommend picking up both because it is never a good idea to confine yourself to only a single source.

Try search for those ISBNs on and I bet you can find an even better price.

A+,N+,S+,L+,I+,HTI+,e-Biz+,CETsr,CST,CNST,CNCT,CFOT,CCNT,CCTT,ACSP,ISA CCST3

Just to add to this. I just ordered the Mike Myers All-in-one from bookpool.com, take a look there also..

::.I may not know it all, but I still approach it with confidence to figure it out::.

RockXP,

Half.com might have better prices, but I've gotten very good service from bookpool.com.

A+ Certification All-in-One Exam Guide, 5th edition $36.95
A+ Fast Pass $16.25

Total for both $53.20 with free shipping.
