Hi, many thanks to the people who helped me get the 200 working here. Altho it is s "just for fun" project, I have learned a considerable amount and feel I should let you all know.

I would like to hook up a MOH source to the sx200. I put a tuner with "line level" outputs and you can just barely hear it.

Does the MOH port require a amplified source or is there is a setting to make it take line level?

Thanks!!

Jim

Hi Jim,
Tenacity.... Way to go!
I think you'd be better off with something that has a "headphone" type of output. Try an Ipod or something similar as a test...

From the docs:
Conditions
The following conditions apply to music-on-hold provided through the Music-On-Hold connector on back panel of the SX-200 ICP:
• Any music source (radio, CD player, etc.) with a mini (1/8" - 3.5 mm) phono plug may be connected to the Music-On-Hold connector. Use the device's volume control to adjust volume levels as required.
• Input signals should be in the range of 10 to 100 mVrms. Any DC voltage applied to the input shall be less than 50 VDC.
• Powering down the SX-200 ICP redirects the MOH source to the paging output. To stop the music from being heard over the pager, power down both the MOH source and paging amplifier before powering down the SX-200 ICP.

Hi Canuck, yes I RTFM'd and discovered that too. That too bad as the output source I have is rack mountable.

But, as an alternate I thought about loading the sound drivers for the server and putting a buncha cool classical in a folder and use Winamp to source it to the input jack.

Be fun to put those telemarketers on hold haha.

Thanks again!!!

Jim

Yup, we have a couple of customers doing that.
Does the tuner have a headphone output? Maybe 1/4 inch?

No, its a straight up tuner for a "component" type stereo deal. And at work too I use winamp hehe, just wanted to have more *stuff* in the relay rack :)
