A big project considerations VB / other lang like DELPHI?

Dear Fellow Progarammers
i am planning to design a big project and i have to decied which lang(tool) i shoiuld use for it,the project will invloves components .dlls and .ocxs and executables although i am experienced in VB and have done project of these kinds in it but i want to know why i choose VB not other lang for devloping components and the project. what are the cons and pros of using VB i have heared that DELPHI is very good in making a good threaded components so why not i go for DELPHI,but i don't know much about DELPHI and other tools(langs) so i have to deciede which lang will be most suitable for my case

This is a Delphi forum, so everyone will tell you that it is better then VB (this is also my opinion). Steven van Els

No contest Delphi is best.
 
There is a thread on this forum dealing with the whole Access V.S Delphi issue - so I wont repeat it here. I sis note however that you say you will be writing DLL's and OCX controls (components) and I would advise caution here. Its just that they can suffer so bably from version conflicts and cause so many problems.
