Hi.
Just found that GREAT forum.

I need to low level access a HD, via BIOS interrupts. I understood that int 13h provides that functionality. But - I am not very sure about the addressing methods of HDs.

Would anyone please help me out on that one?

Also, will it work on a SCSI disk as well? If not, how do I access SCSI devices?

Thanks.

Hi there,

Whether you can do this or not will be OS sensitive. Chances are NT/Win2k will be a challenge.

Hard drves will have bit seven set. x80 = C:, x81 = D:

Be very...very careful with writing using Int 13... A programming error can cost you a disk.
