I have a basic question about VC's ATL:

After creating an ATL application by ATL COM wizard, it is said there are two options to test it:

1. Test container
2. IE or Netscape with created .html file

I don't understand why the created .html file could be used as a testing entry since COM is not only work in Internet Browser but may work with other application interfaces.

Is my understanding right?

Besides the above question, can anyone tell me:

What is the difference between "Objects" and "Controls" when I try to add objects and controls through "ATL Object Wizard". By definition, Objects are COM object,IE object,Add-in Object, and ActiveX Server Component, etc. Controls are objects support the interfaces needed for certain containers.

Hmm..., seems clear definition. Are there any examples to illustrate this?
