_msdcs zone failed

i had a DC fail on me, it was beyond repair so i had to seize the roles onto the secondary and have cleaned metadata but now have the following issues
I am trying to add another DC in but it can't find the records that are in the _msdcs zone.

It appears that this might still be attached to the old server.
I have tried
- manually recreating it- won't let me
- edting the netlogon.dns file
- deleting the zone and restarting netlogon service

need a way to sort this without rebuilding the domain

and after googling for a few days i have fixed it

deleted the _mcdcs zone and then ran netdiag /fix and this recreated it with the correct delegation rights so i could then add a new DC
