Hello,

While filling backorders, we seem to be getting more and more parts that show 999,999,999 in the quantity available field. Any idea what is causing this? My understanding is that it is only happening in this field.

We have Macola Version 7.5.103f.

Thanks in advance.

Some questions:

Are you running Btrieve or SQL?

Is the Fill Backorders screen (OE0701) modified? To check, login into Macola as that user, go to order entry/processing/fill backorders and once on the screen, right click. The user should say MACOLA. If it doesn't, on you should have the choice of switching back to the normal screen or custom screen.

Can you duplicate it?

I've never heard of this of being a BUG but is there something holding you back from upgrading to 7.6.200?

Kevin,

We are using Pervasive SQL

The Fill Backorders screen is not modified. The user is MACLOA.

The person that is reporting this problem gives me a list every week when our large shipment comes in. She sees it regularly. I'll have her call me in when the next shipment comes in and show me the exact information.

I haven't upgraded because we use a add in feature that Macola doesn't offer. We use a whole order discount pricing module written by a third party. The system discounts based on the quantity of items in the whole order and the product category of the various parts.

Check your "Stocked" flag in the item master file. If the flag is set to "N" you might get this result.

Tom,

It's a mixture. Most recently, we had three items. Two of the three had the "Stocked" flag checked. All of them are currently "grayed out." I can't check or uncheck the "Stocked" field. I went back and looked at items she complained about in the past and most of those were not checked. I checked the field.

The field will usually go grey if there are quantities on order, allocated, on hand or some combination of them. Review the inventory quantities and try running reset on order and reset allocated.

Good luck
Tom
