Hey Folks,
Silly question, I'm heading out to site today. Just wanted a heads up. Does the TELCO VM TN have to be placed under Telco Features VMsg centr tel#'s in order for customer to use *98 off of Line for Norstar?
Or should *98 still work if that field has NO NUMBER...
Thanks ALL..

I am not familiar with *98, but it sounds like a retrieval code for voicemail in your area. Think of it like this...if you can plug an analog phone into the dial-tone, and *98 retrieves the VM, then the norstar would not need any additional programming. Of course you just have to make sure that they are dialing it from dial-tone, as opposed to IC tone.

No It doesn't need to be programmed, like Bkrike says ...

Dealing with Bell ???

Thanks for the responses.
Customer was confused....as a result confused me...She was trying *98 from the wrong line. The Telco was actually Allstream in T.O Canada.
Thanks again all..

If you have CLID cards you can set voice msg paremeters for Bell voice mail. You can get a display of "message for you" on the control set. Then if you put *98 in VMsg centr tel#'s you can simply press the soft key "MSG" on 2 line display phone.
