The 9730 is configured for a 20-cell operation while the remaining cells collect dust. I tried configuring for 30 but it gave me an error during startup. Noticing inside the unit in the 3rd column there seems to be some plastic part missing in the middle that would be scanned (3 few vertical lines "| \ |") during initialization, similar to what is in column 1 & 2. Is this something available somewhere, part # or do I have to do something else?

9730 upgrading from 20 to 30 cell usage

there should be a target on the third row of slots,the same as the other two. this will tell the library it has another ten slots. A repair house would be able to give you a target.
