We're thinking about converting our Backend (currently in 97) to 2002. Our Frontend is already in 2002 and we'd like to reduce the number of platforms we have going.

In the past I have read posts indicating that a backend in 97 appears to run more efficiently then one in a more recent format.

If anyone out there has any words of wisdom to pass along regarding performance or any other tidbits we might need to know, please let me know.

Thanks,

Lori

My view on this is that converting a backend between A97 and A2002 is such a minor task (and in my experience completely sound) that you might as well convert it and see.
