I am having an issue, I have 3 floors all 3 has its own voice vlan. The DHCP does what its suppose to do(what i think).
Now when I take a phone from floor 1 to floor 2 the dhcp does not boot the phone to the 2nd floor dhcp scope. I have to manually clear/reset the phone.

The headache is when I have a whole group moving between floors I have to clear/reset 50 phones. Is there a way where when the phone is move to another switch with a different dhcp scope can the phone clear its own previous settings and upload the new scope. I need all the info I can get.

the scope
option-242 "MCIPADD=3 clan address,MC PORT=1719,HTTPSRVR=x.x.x.x,HTTPDIR=46xxsettings.txt, L2Q-1, L2QVLAN-that floor";

Today Makes Tomorrow

Do you have VLANTEST specified in the data scope? It specifies how long (in seconds) a phone will startup tagging on the old voice vlan. VLANTEST=0 means that once a phone gets a voice VLAN from the data scope once, it will retain it forever.

So that is one potential hiccup in your data scope that could cause that.

It sounds like you don't have an option 242 on the data scopes

I have always wished that my computer would be as easy to use as my telephone.
My wish has come true. I no longer know how to use my telephone.

as Kyle mentioned - add the vlantest=60 to the end of the scope, and it will reset to the native vlan and grab the new voice vlan.
