We are now required to use HTTPS for all webservers. This includes the IIS server used by our AVAYA 96x1 deskphones. I have been working on this issue for several months and according to AVAYA the only way to install the necessary certificate on the phone is HTTP.
I have found and tried several parameters in DHCP Option 242 and have been unsuccessful. The phone appears to read the 96x1Hupgrade.txt file and the 46xxsettings.txt file. It will download the screensaver .jpg file and nothing else. It doesn't get the new PROCPSWD from the 46xxsettings.txt file.
Any suggestions on how to make this work using https?
Current dhcp option 242
MCIPADD=1.1.1.1,MCPORT=1719,TLSPORT=8411,TLSSRVR=fqdn,TLSDIR=/firmware,SIG=1,TLSSRVRVERIFYID=0,TLSSRVRID=0,DES_STAT=0
TLSSRVRVERIFYID - this is for h.323 phones
TLSSRVRID - this is for SIP phones
