Hi, I'm running CM 6.3, 96xx firmware 6.4_0_14 and am trying to use a 9641G phone, H.323. The phone gets it's DHCP info, downloads it's 46xxsettings file and prompts me to enter the phone extension and password. As soon as I do this, it brings up a screen that looks like my extension is 2000 (it's not, and wouldn't even be a valid extension on my system) and then immediately goes into discovering mode. I have other 96xx phones successfully deployed.

When I look at the addr list on the phone, everything looks right.
When I look at the items under view, the application and backup application files areS9621_41HALBR6_3_1_16U_V452. The kernel file is S96x1_URK_V13r94_V13r94.tar

I have administered my phone as a 9641. When I status the station is shows Out-Of_service and I when I try the logout button on the 9641 it does not respond.
Has anyone experienced this and found a solution or do I just have a bad phone?
Thanks

Try blowing it away in Software and re-creating the extension... go into the craft menu of the phone and do a clear procedure or reset values and try again.

Thanks, I'll try that. FYI, I have a list trace up for the phone and it looks like the extension is repeatedly asking for a connection, but of a different CLAN than the one configured in the phone

14:11:12 rcv GRQ ext 5908
endpt [10.29.xxx.xx]:49301
switch [10.73.xxx.xx]:1719 - this IP address is not the primary CLAN but it is local to the network that the Utility server is on.
14:11:12 snd GCF ext 5908
endpt [10.29.xxx.xx]:49301
switch [10.73.xxx.xx]:1719

I removed and re-added the extension, cleared the phone but got the same result.

In DHCP, did you define the 176 and 242 options? Network switch configured for the correct vlan and routable to the voice equipment?

All of that has been in place for a long time. It turns out that there was a change on the network limiting packets that caused this issue, and it was not particular to the 9641G, it was just co-incidental timing!

Thanks for your help :)

The guy who made the change remembered getting an error message when he applied the change [shadeshappy]
