9640l IP Phone Reset 1

I have looked through the books to find a way to reset the phone so you can move it to a different extension. I have used the MUTE REST # command but that was useless. This is a IP500 7.0.25 software. Sorry for asking a stupid question but we are new in this and they didn't cover this in the boot camp last month.

Mute RESET# would be a better combination.

If you are using dhcp then you can simply move the phone and let it reconnect. Then log the phone out. Then log the phone in using the new extension number.

Mute CRAFT did not work with the 9640 phones. But I powered the phone down and back up and when it came up it asked to enter the * key for code entres. That is where the craft code worked. Thanks for everyones help.

Day late and dollar short but if you are simply changing the extension number then you can simply log out of the existing extension and log into the extension you want to use.
