Hello all...I have a 9640G phone that was unplugged during a firmware upgrade when it was 23% complete. Anytime the phone is unplugged and plugged back in (either right away or after being unplugged for a couple days), it jumps back to 23% percent and doesn't proceed past that. The phone doesn't reach the point where I could log in via craft to try resets. I am hoping the phone isn't bricked but am unsure on what can be done. Should I try loading a different firmware on the server temporarily to see if it will download that? Thank you in advance.

If the phone goes through the boot sequence then yes you can use a different set of firmware and the phone may load those files. But if the phone isn't processing through the boot sequence and its just going straight to the 23% mark it may be a brick.

I would recommend trying a firmware version that is newer than the previous version on the phone .. but different from the one you were trying to load when it was unplugged.

Unfortunatly if you have unplugged it after it says saving to flash "DO NOT UNPLUG" , you have kinda killed it youre reseller should be able to get it sorted for you be getting the firmware reflashed at the factory, before you ask no i dont know how they do it im sure its some sort of known secret that is dead easy to do if you cave the correct hardware / cable , but unfortunatly old chap its a goner as far as the phone is concerned
