We have installed approximately 600 9640's across our network, running CM 5.2 on S8720. Most of the phones are in the US, some internationally. Firmware is 3.11.

From time to time a phone at HQ will partially lock up. It will not ring or give dialtone, but will allow you to navigate through menus. CM shows the phone still registered and on hook. To our knowledge, this has never happened across our WAN. Our CLANs have approx 35 of 400 registered devices.

To temporarily resolve the issue, we can busy/release or reboot the phone. Does anyone know about this issue or are your experiencing it in your network?

Please let me know how you've resolved.

Thanks,
Mike

Hey Rigg. We had the same problem. It's a FIRMWARE Problem cause by backing up call logs. Disable call log backing up and you won't have any problems. This afects the whole FM3.x as far as i know.

Thanks ToAvaya,
It seems odd that we experience it on very few phones.
