Just doing some testing with our first 9630 gig IP phone... Can't seem to get it to work it gets stuck at "MCIP AD" acording to the network guy. The phone displays discover... with the address of our medpro cards alternating every 10 to 15 seconds. Does this thing use TFTP or HTTP? Do we need to get some files on the network to make it work?...Thanks

I think you mean MCIPADD ?
The 9600 use http or https for it's files.
And yes it needs files.

mcipadd should point to your c-lan boards or processor ethernet, not your med-pro's.

Thanks for the responses I am trying to get the files from our vendor. I can't seem to get them directly from Avaya there is probably a reason for that.

wow, I was just going to go to support.avaya.com and get you the link but they are down hard:
But, anyway the 96xx files are on the avaya site without a login (normally)

How does the phone get the DHCP if it is from a Linux the MAC address needs to be added to be discovered.
