Hi,

I'm installing a couple 9630 phones and after looking through posts here modified my 46xxsetting.txt file to show features that I'd like on my soft keys. I set these as shown below as I would like Account, conference display, autodial, date/time, etc as the soft keys while in the idle state. However, I only get Account, and Conf-disp and autodial as the first three soft keys with nothing after them.

Now, I also placed these features on the last page, and the last 5 buttons on the "button Assignment" page in CM, (buttons 24,23,22,21,20...) But somehow thesy slipped up the button chart and now appear as feature buttons on buttons 9,10,11, & 12 on the 9630. So they now appear twice; once as soft keys and again as feature buttons. I would prefer to keep these as just soft keys. Any ideas? (the FBONCASCREEN is set to 0)

Thanks!!!

You need to remove the space in front of the "SET"

Sarcasm, it's only one of the services I offer.

In the settings file you have "SET IDLEFEATURES 134,325,227,23,150##" What are the numbers 134,325 etc. referring to? Are they access codes, is there a number associated with each feature. It is probably obvious but I'm missing it. Thanks.

mbccs, check the user guide for 96XX phones. All the settings are there.

I don't think you can... As I understand it, you can have 6 options listed in the IDLEFEATURES - obviously too many for the number of buttons. You can then control which features are assigned to the softkeys by assigning the features to standard feature keys. This implies that the feature key is required.

Take Care

I have always wished that my computer would be as easy to use as my telephone.
My wish has come true. I no longer know how to use my telephone.
