We have a site that has 4 9620's and when the LAN connection goes down they register to a Multitech gateway that has 1 analog line connected to it so at least they can make a call out. The problem is when the LAN connection comes back up the 9620's register to the 8300 but they act like there still in survivablity mode, just like a single line phone. The only way to get them back to fully functional is log them off and log them back on, then they have full functionality. We have tried this with a 4600 phone also and the same thing happens. We have worked with Multitech and they suggest calling Avaya, but I'm wondering if anyone has had the same issue..?
