We have been running into this issue with a few of each of these various models of the 96XX phones - 9608 - 9621G - 9620 and 9620L - 9630 etc...
In our lab ... our techs need to factory default them ... restore to original pre-programming settings (clear)
a - we power the IP phones up
b - we press the "mute" button
c - then enter the "CRFT" password
d - then #
This gets us into the Craft programming SW menus to enter IP data for testing and then to CLEAR or reset the phones - ready to redeploy.
There are a very small % of these phones that won't enter into programming mode ... any ideas or "tricks" apart from pulling chips and reprogramming them ??
Thanks
Message me if you don't want that info public ....
