Hi -
I have been away from Avaya for about 15 years working with CUCM and now obtained an Avaya system I need to support. Working with a G3 Version 18 Enterprise. I have mostly digital and analog phones but do have 2 lonely IP Phones in critical areas. they are both 9620 phones and they status "Out of Service". There was a power interruption briefly in the building the IP Phone are at, main system did not go down. But these 2 phones did not come back up. I test the station and come up with Test 1372 Fail Error Code 3, Test 1373 Abort Error Code 1706 and Test 16 Abort Error Code 3. I had asked if the network switch was operational and everything on it is working except the 2 phones. I am troubleshooting this remotely and need to know what other steps I can take to try to revive these 2 phones. How can I check on my CLAN? I do not see and board when I do a "li config all". Hoping there is something I can do remotely to help the site!

Thanks in advance.

-Joe

Have the phones got power and if so what is the display saying?

One I see every now and then is that people forget to save the config on a switch after making changes and when it reboots the config is lost, could be that the PoE settings for those ports has gone.

(assuming the switch is PoE and phones aren't using injectors)

Biglebowskis Razor - with all things being equal if you still can't find the answer have a shave and go down the pub.
