Random number of 9611g phones have recently had the Physical PC port stop/not work when user is on the phone. Therefore, they lose data connectivity. When I look at the phone 'Network Information' I see the PC port as disabled. On INT feature in CRAFT menu it states it is set to AUTO. I have CLEARED the phone(s) and they appear to act the same. Temporary solution is the swap out the phone.

Problem Clarification
Need to connect PC to Physical port, will not stay configured on Auto negotiate on 9611G phone but reverts to disabled and the user when on the phone loses data connectivity.
Cause
Not sure. The 46xxsetttings file has 2 features PHY1STAT & PHY2STAT set to '1' which is Auto Negotiate.

REQUEST: Could their be a phone setting on particular phone or 46xxsetting feature or network causing this issue? Is there a suggestion for troubleshooting and/or resolving?

Firmware? SNMP walk the phone when it happens? Maybe some traffic pattern is the cause

Thanks kyle555
All our phones 9611g are at latest and greatest 6.6.4. If not it will automatically upgrade when registered. If I don't get any further suggestions will place INC with Avaya and do the network trace while on a phone having the issue.

Is it possible you're 100Mbps up to the switch and GigE from the phone to the PC? Maybe getting close to 100Mbps on the switchport could have something to do with it?

I suppose if you setup syslog at top level that the phone might give you some indication of why it did what it did.
