Ive done quite a few phones but I'm no where close to most of you guys, but I support my church and have taken over most if not all of the ip office support. What I am trying to out is we have a used phone, and I have gotten them in different states but this one is different.

It starts to boot with the Avaya-one-X screen but never gets past that screen, the bar stops and it just sits there and after a point in time it reboots. It never gets to the point where I can enter craft etc. I have hooked it up to my PC and sniffed and I do not see any output from the phone.

It appears to be bricked but trying to figure out what my options are for trying to bring it back to life, any help would be appreciated, thanks.

:)

Good question but I dont know it doesn't boot far enough to where I can do #craft or anything else, it starts its boot and the initial line goes all the way across and where I normally see it go to the next screen and start trying DHCP etc, it never makes it that far. It stops short of that next screen, and sits there and finally reboots.

I not sure what to try to do to get it to reset, or load new firmware.

Yeah it doesnt get to the point where I can do that, it seems like the firmware is bad, it doesn't completely boot up and make it to the screen where you can do #craft, it get stuck on the initial boot screen and none of the buttons do anything. Would really like to know how to reflash the firmware directly but I have been unsuccessful in finding any directions.

If the firmware files are corrupted, you cannot reflash it yourself directly. It has be done by Avaya.
