9608VPN Freezes after 30 Second Call

Another customer another issue.

I have a 9608vpn phone connecting through cisco VPN client to a remote site. The VPN establishes the phone registers. I can go off hook and get dial tone as many times as I want. If there is a call established that lasts longer than 30 Seconds the either person hangs up or in the middle of the call the phone freezes up.Then eventually goes into restart.

It is a Cisco 520 Router, IP Office 9.0.5 rel 972, 9608 with 6.3116.

Any ideas?
 
May seem like a dumb question but how do you upgrade the 9608 phone. I thought that the version was based on the IPoffice system version that is currently installed on the IPO
 
UPDATE

I managed to download the most current version of H323 for 9608 Ip Phones

Took awhile to find documents on downloading it a phone, however, the only way I could get it on the SD Card was to remove the SD Card and then insert in my PC. Then copied and pasted the new files.

Then rebooted phone a couple times and the new software was loaded.

And it indeed fix my problem
 
Why didn't you upgrade your IPO to the latest R9.0?
It's sp 12, 7 versions newer.
