9608 Retrieval Failure

Hello everyone,

I am just setting up my Avaya IP office with 6 9608 phones, for some reason 3 phones initialized fine (ext. 201-203). Two other phones keep displaying "Retrieval Failed" and a "100X extension" (Despite the fact that I set it at 204-206), the final phone is just stuck in "Waiting for LLDP" and keeps power cycle. Anyone have any idea what is going on? I'm running IPO 8.1(43) with Essential Edition.

An upgrade to 8.1.65 is available.

What's going on is the handset is not getting lldp broadcast data from the IP Office.
Could be a million things at this point with this lack of specific information.

You could have previous data in the handset that is not compatible for one.

Are you sure the handsets are actually getting data?

Get a vendor to install this for your company properly and then we'll still be here to assist you with fine tuning user choices once it's installed.
We don't offer free remote installs.

With no managed switches, PoE injectors, no VLAN it sounds like a doddle.

My vendor helped me with this issue. Works fine now! IP addressing was screwed up.
