Hello,

We just got one of these phones working on our IPO R6.1 and we really like it. The display is much larger than the 5610, nice backlit screen, dual color keys, and 8 keys on each page.
The best feature of the phone is we finally have some nice ring tones.

We dont seem to have any issues on the phone with our current IPO 500 R6.1.

Would there be any reason why we could not install these sets for other customers? I know officially its not supported until R7, but that has now been delayed until March 23 GA, we don't like the 16xx series and Avaya has increased the price on the other 96xx series, we are stuck.

Thoughts anyone?

Cheers,
Dave

There are issues with it.
They will get stuck and non responsive.
But which firmware version do you use?

Not sure. Is the firmware under the view in the craft menu?

Maybe, i don't know.
You should be able to see it on the fileserver.

I agree . the 9608 is a very good phone. NPI gave me one to test for them.

A few little firmware issues has delayed they from release, and we keep getting newer firmware for them on NPI.

I am look forward to getting these out to customers.

Look through the network options screen, right scroll a few times to misc (from memory) and then down will show the the filnames in use. I think the latest is R24, but that is newer than comes with R6.1.

They should work but wouldn't give to customersas, like above, any issues and Avaya will not want to know.

You might be able to get a customer onto trial to install them if you tlk to your account manager and it is a reasonable site sale. They might welcome a reasonable size 96x1 trial site. You never know.

I really like those phones.
We have them all (9608, 9621, 9621 and the 9641)
They are great.
The 9608 can gave more buttons then the 9620 and will be cheaper too.
