9608 IP Phone Firmware upgrade Procedure

Hi Folks,
I need to upgrade all my 9xxx phone for sites could you guys please help me with the procedure how to do it and what should be a prerequisite and post-upgrade checks to keep in mind.

Why? Upgrade from what to what and why?

1. Each IP Office release installs with the 96XX firmware that it has been tested with and automatically upgrades the attached phones to match.

2. Upgrading just for the sake of upgrading if just looking for problems. You won't get any new features.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.
