9601+/TN789 work in new carriers????

It's not listed on the "Latest Communication Manager Software & firmware Compatibility Matrix"
However, when I do a "change ciruit" on our S8500B, which is running CM 4.0.1, I can type in "TN789" and "Radio Controller" shows up to the right, so my guess would be, it will work
