9600 series button layout

Is there any documentation on how to change button layout on the phone. There is a message button on the phone...I would like for it to be visual voicemail button. I would like to add features to the other buttons.

There is a system setting to make the message button go to visual voice, which is just as well as the buttons under the screen and printed buttons are not programmable

I figured it out the visual voice button. How do I change buttons with no label on them.

The buttons on top cannot be programmed.
Those buttons are used for variouse actions when needed.

The programmable buttons which vary in number depending on model are programmed via button programming as with 54xx/56xx

I have the 9620L

That phone has 3 button right under the screen.
Those can not be programmed.
The buttons on the right of the screen can be programmed.

evenwhen user doesn't have self-administer allowed they still have the ability to change the buttons on their phones by using features button then self-administer. How can you restrict that?

Do you have the level set to one or two ?
Remove that, self administer buttons are not needed anymore with the 9600 phones.

My goof, I had it set to none.

So it was set to none ?
and it is still there ?
then disable the menu button (if that is used)

1 gives them more access. I need to go back to none.
