I have a IP500 V2 7.0.5 with 9508 phones. The problem is sometimes when the customer answers a call with the receiver they will be able to hear the caller over the speakphone also. Has anyone else had this problem? If so did you find a solution?
you need to return these phones back to your vendor and find an alternative model . apparently AVAYA has lot of issues with these phones and the latest news is they put hold on shipping 9508 and 9608 to all their distributors
You already told us that in the thread right about this one that you also resurrected from the grave. I have heard nothing about a 95XX stop ship by the way.
Indeed, you need to give us more info if you have it!
The new 9600 are indeed on hold for the IPO.
But when you need them then just order them for a CM
There is no hold on the 9500 serie phones.
This seems to be a problem related to the combo card.
It was a problem with the ATM4 on the combo card. I moved the trunks to a different card and I haven't heard anything else from that customer. Thanks for all of the help.
Come to think of it, I did have one issue where two out of about 50 9508s would upgrade, then upgrade again after a reboot. I exchanged those with our distributor and the replacements were fine.
Seems the combo cards do have some strange issues. I had one that caused nasty echo on 5410s. Swapping the card ficed that.
I believe there is a confusion between the 9608 IP phone and the 9508 digital phone. The 9608 along with the 9611/21/41 which all have a common OS do indeed have issues and have been pulled from sale with IP Office. The 9504/08 are still available and don't seem to suffer the same number of issues.
