So I have a IP office 500 V1 sitting at release 9.0.2 build 840. I just installed 6 - 9508 telephones and none of them are getting the firmware upgrade. When I look at the monitor, it says that I have a reason=2, error=4 on the line for the 9508R15.bin upgrade. I have the TFTP field set to LAN1 value, and the phone file type server set to memory card. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Set your PC's IP address in 'Manager PC IP Address'.
Set the phone file server type 'Manager'.
In Manager, go to Preferences, make sure 'Enable BootP and TFTP Servers' is checked.

Leave the tftp and http ip address to the default value (255.255.255.255) or set them to 0.0.0.0, set the SD card as the fileserver.
Check that the 9508R15.BIN file resides on the SD card in the SYSTEM/PRIMARY folder, easiest way to do that is to open a web browser and enter address ip office/9508R14.BIN, if you get a 404 error then the file is not there, copy the file from the manager folder of your PC to the SD card and retry the http:// procedure.
If the file is there then reboot IP Office and try again.

Oh, my wrong, missed that.
We onlys have a few in the field and one in my private lab at home:)
Then my advise is stupid and must be ignored.
RTFM or go to the FAQ area, there will be a HOWTO on this.

In case of a V1 you need to set Manager as the tftp server and you need to set the IP address of the PC running manager.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!
