9508 Contacts entry in ALL on handset 1

When I add a contact in my handset using the contacts New feature in the ALL directory of the 9508, will that now show up on all handsets in the system or must I only use the Directory in the Manager to make a contact global?

I would suggest hitting F1 in the Manager program. This is a very simple, basic question. The phone used for creating system wide contact lists is assigned in the user section of the Manager program.

You need to be configured as a System Phone user. Then when adding a contact, after clicking Save you will be prompted whether it is a Personal Contact for yourself or an External Contact for everybody.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.
