using windows 95b I'm wondering if there is a key stroke that will allow me to stop the boot up process so I can read some of the data that is being displayed.
Thanks, Karpat
If you edit the autoexec.bat, and put a "pause" without the quotes, at every couple of lines this will wait for you to hit enter each time, and will let you read the screen.
Hit F8 repeatedly upon boot up, select "step by step". It will prompt after each line in autoexec, config, and the whole windows boot sequence. Cheers,
Jim

You can also just hit the "pause-break" key on the keyboard at anytime. It will even pause the bootup before Windows even starts. To get started again just hit the "enter" key.
Every day above ground is a GOOD DAY!!!
Yes when windows is loading I think you can hit F1 and that will take you into your system setting if that is what you are wanting to do. Hopefully this helps. Good Luck!!
