9490 floppy

If it is the only 9490 in the room then yes. If there are other 9490's in the room then maybe no. Only one 9490 in an installation needs a floppy drive - to install updated firmware.
Open the back door of your 9490 and see if there is a box in the upper left cornor with a control panel and two black Ethernet LAN cables comiing out of it. That is the Subsystem Support Unit (SSU). If you have an SSU then you have a floppy drive.
